Top 10 of 2019
If you can’t make it to our Pop Up Shops to have a bit of a sniff, it can be a bit hard to choose your fragrances, be it candles, wax melts or diffusers – it’s a difficult choice to work out what is going to fit with your home.
In my previous life, I was an Analyst (yep – the analyst who ditched her corporate career to go and make candles, its hilarious!). Being an analyst, I absolutely LOVE data. I keep track of every single thing that I make & sell, so I know exactly what you guys are buying and in what fragrances. As one who loves data, I get all kinda giddy when I play with the numbers (yep, I am really that kind of sad!). So, I have it here all for you… Our TOP 10 for Candles and Wax Melts…
CANDLES
Drum roll please……
- Vanilla Caramel
- Black Raspberry & Vanilla
- Japanese Honeysuckle
- Champagne & Strawberries
- Coconut Pineapple & Vanilla
- Watermelon Lemonade
- Lemongrass & Persian Lime
- Coconut Lime
- Wild Frangipani
- Pink Sugar
I do think the next 3 do need a mention though, as they were sooo close behind… Blackberry & Strawberry in number 11 was a newish fragrance for 2019 and became popular quickly, followed closely behind by Sandalwood Vanilla (which is super popular in the winter months, so warm and cozy), and my old favourite – Beachside.
Vanilla Caramel has been up there for a number of years, but I am really surprised that Japanese Honeysuckle is not number 1. I always feel like we sell more of that than anything else, but the dark horse Vanilla Caramel came through.
MELTS
- Japanese Honeysuckle
- Vanilla Caramel
- Coconut Pineapple & Vanilla
- Black Raspberry & Vanilla
- Lemongrass & Persian Lime
- Coconut Lime
- 1 Million
- Blackberry & Strawberry
- Champagne & Strawberries
- Cotton Candy
I am always amazed at how different our top 10 wax Melt List is to Candles. Looks at Watermelon Lemonade – number 6 in candles – it doesn’t even make the cut in melts (just quietly, it doesn’t even make the top 20). I have to say though, the bottom 4 on this list – there was all but a hair between them, so close!
Japanese Honeysuckle in the number 1 spot is nearly double the amount of the number 2 spot – that is how much we make and sell of those melts. It is seriously crazy!
I should note though, 1 Million and Cotton Candy – we don’t bring to the pop up shops in candles… hmmm… maybe we should change that!
